
OSHA 10 Hour for General Industry
The Safety Working Group of the West Virginia Chamber is pleased to team with FDR Safety, Inc., a nationally recognized company that specializes in safety training, to present an informative program designed to provide up-to-date information on the OSHA 10 training for general industry. The class will be highly interactive with round table and small group interaction.
This course covers a series of safety topics that are commonly dealt with in 29 CFR 1910. The course reviews the hazards associated with general industry through a review of OSHA regulations and focuses on the prevention of injuries associated with the hazards.
The course will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Walking and Working Surfaces
- Fire Protection and Emergency Action Planning
- Electrical Safety
- Hazard Communication (Right to Know)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ergonomics in the Workplace
- Lockout/Tagout
- Machine Guarding
- Workplace Inspection
This course is taught through the use of slides and lecture with classroom discussion and hands-on exercises. This workshop is taught by an authorized trainer and designed for management, supervisors, safety committee members and any employee charged with overseeing safety.
Registration fee includes writing materials, text book, break refreshments and a mid-day meal on the first day. The two day training session will accommodate the required ten hours of training and required safety topics. Upon successful completion of the course attendees will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry card.
